Credit Suisse has appointed Carolyn Steppler as head of UK wealth planning for Investment Wealth Management (IWM) Europe in Switzerland.
Ms Steppler - who was named as an eprivateclient 50 Most Influential from 2012 to 2015 - joins Credit Suisse from EY in London, having joined the latter in November 2010 and served as a partner.
At EY, Ms Steppler advised on all aspects of UK private client tax including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax, with particular emphasis on the tax regime for non-UK domiciled individuals and their non-UK structures.
Credit Suisse is a global wealth management with specialism in investment banking, and has a strong presence in its home market of Switzerland. Currently, Credit Suisse has operations in more than 50 countries and employs 48,200 people.
