2017 eprivateclient Top Law Firm, Farrer & Co, hires Rachel Mainwaring-Taylor as a partner. Ms Mainwaring-Taylor was previously a partner at Hunters Solicitors from April 2012 to June 2017, and prior to this, was an associate at the firm for nearly two years

Trust company Minerva Group appoints Stephen McCormack as head of Minerva Middle East DMCC, the firm’s office in Dubai. Mr McCormack will be taking on a new role, further strengthening the Dubai management team and will have responsibility for spearheading Minerva’s GCC growth strategy


The private client team at UK law firm Penningtons Manches is bolstered with three appointments. Senior associate Louise Lewis joins the firm’s Oxford office and was previously with Blake Morgan, Senior associate James Lewis joins the Penningtons Manches’ London office from Howard Kennedy whilst Kate Caldwell joins the firm’s London office as an associate

Russell Bussey becomes head of Trustee Investment Consulting at Landy Partners, a London based dedicated investment and risk management company established in 2013 by Schroders NewFinance alumni

2017 eprivateclient Top Trust Company Ocorian enters into a definitive agreement to purchase MAS International (MAS), an independent fund administration and corporate services provider. The business operates in Luxembourg and Mauritius in addition to representation in the US. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals


Accountancy firm Saffery Champness has hired Eunice McAdam as a partner based in its Inverness office. Ms McAdam has joined Saffery Champness after 26 years at EY, 16 of which she spent as an executive director. She joins  Donald Forsyth who also recently arrived as a partner from EY.

In a further sign of the importance of family business advice to EY's stragey, the advisory firm has acquired the family enterprise business services (FEBS) practice of US firm Headwaters SC (HWSC), including James C. Bly, Jr., the founder and chief executive of HWSC, who has joined EY where he will serve as an executive director


Reputation and privacy crisis consultancy firm Schillings strengthened its crisis and problem solving business with the recruitment of Jeremy Eakin to its partnership. Mr Eakin was formerly a managing director and a founding member of UBS AG’s global family office team, with responsibility for emerging markets.
