Law firm Blake Morgan has re-hired John Parkinson as head of business development.
Mr Parkinson previously served at Blake Morgan when it was Blake Lapthorn, prior to its merger with Morgan Cole, as a business development executive. He left in 2010 to join Sacker & Partners to serve under the same title.
Joining from Coffin Mew Solicitors where he was head of business development, Mr Parkinson will lead the firm’s team covering business development, marketing communications, clients and markets and bids. He will be based in Southampton with a presence across the firm’s six offices to lead on the implantation of the strategy.
Chairman at Blake Morgan, Bruce Potter, commented: “John's rich experience and knowledge of the legacy and foundations of Blake Morgan, combined with his fresh outlook and strong client focus, stand him in good stead to drive our firm forward in our target markets and sectors. We are delighted to be welcoming him back to the firm.”
Mr Parkinson re-joining the firm comes after senior associate and property expert, Dan Geddes, returned to Blake Morgan after serving briefly as partner with Lester Aldridge, and energy specialist Mathew Kidwell returned having completed his training with the firm in 1989.
