2017 eprivateclient Top Trust Company Equiom has acquired Malta-based trustee and fiduciary company DF Corporate Services and trust and fiduciary business Carey Group Monaco, expanding its presence in Europe.
DF Corporate Services offers corporate services, including corporate formation, trust, fiduciary and support functions such as back office and accountancy to clients globally. Meanwhile, led by Stephane Postifferi, Carey Group Monaco’s services include trust administration, family office services, private wealth planning and administration.
DF Corporate Services’ seven staff will join Equiom Malta staff in a new office by the end of 2017, and a total of 20 staff from Carey Group Monaco will join Equiom with immediate effect, with the business continuing to operate from its Monaco location. The rebrand to Equiom will complete over the coming weeks.
Global chief executive at Equiom, Sheila Dean, commented: “The team at DF Corporate Services brings a suite of complementary services to our existing Maltese business, while Carey Group provides Equiom entry into a key jurisdiction and allows us to leverage further our market-leading yachting proposition.
“I am pleased to welcome both teams to the Equiom family; the client-centric service ethos and cultural compatibility complements Equiom perfectly and will enable us to raise the bar higher in terms of the service we offer to clients. I thank our equity partners LDC and our legal advisers Gowling WLG for their valued input and support throughout the process.”
Equiom currently has offices in the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Malta, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, Singapore and the British Virgin Islands.
