Big Four accountancy firm Deloitte has appointed Willo Renehan as a tax partner to its private markets team.
Based in London, Mr Renehan will specialise in private businesses and focus on building relationships with large privately held groups and FTSE350 companies.
Paula Higgleton, Deloitte vice chairman and senior private client partner, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Willo to Deloitte. He is an excellent addition to our fast growing private markets team, bringing with him a wealth of experience across a number of different sectors. His appointment will strengthen the team and his extensive and diverse experience of working with businesses in the private sector will further enhance the unique insight we are able to bring to clients.”
Mr Renehan was previously a partner at PwC, where he spent four years leading their Aberdeen tax team and supporting a wide range of energy clients as tax director for almost six years. Prior to this, he worked with private businesses for 20 years, and spent some of this time in Australia working as tax manager for Xstrata Coal, leading its coal tax team.
