A high net worth boutique law firm has pledged to provide "transparency over fees" for clients, as it launches in the City.
Manders Law has just launched in the City of London, founded by family lawyer Mary Ann Wright, formerly a partner at Gunnercooke, and previously head of family in DWF's City of London office.
Established in September 2018 as a limited company, the firm opened its doors on 3 September. It advises clients on every aspect of family law, from divorce and associated financial proceedings often with an international element, along with prenuptial agreements, complex Children Act matters, including wardship cases and international child abduction.
After listening to clients, who said they wanted the assurance that comes with seniority, experience in the handling of client matters and transparency over fees, Ms Wright said that having identified a gap in the City market in this sector, her goal was to “establish a boutique family law practice in the heart of the City of London, providing first rate technical and commercially aware advice, to high net worth clients who naturally want to protect their interests with price certainty.”
A former chair of the Women Lawyers Division of the Law Society of England & Wales, Ms Wright, who also serves on the Law Society’s equality and diversity committee, is joined at Manders Law by partner Raj Bhattoa, also formerly of DWF and who is a Resolution accredited high net worth (HNW) specialist, and senior associate Christina Coker.
