UK law firm Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) has promoted Hamish Frost to trust director and Patrick Lynam to legal director in the firm’s private wealth department.
Mr Frost joined the firm in 2002 as a senior trust manager, and now is head of trust management and specialises in UK tax compliance affecting resident and offshore trusts. He also deals with the management of trust assets, with a specialism in trustee investing.
Mr Lynam, who joined the firm in 2012, works closely with the tax trusts and estate planning team in relation to the capital tax planning and administration of estates. He was named an eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 in 2015.
In total, the firm has appointed 11 new legal directors, including one external hire, in its business services, government and infrastructure, and real estate departments, in addition to the private wealth promotions.
The following senior associates have been promoted to legal director in BDB’s business services department: Robert Chidley, Andrew McGlashan, Toby Richards-Carpenter, Tessa Trevelyan Thomas and Sarah Williams.
Rahul Bijlani, Lee Tearle and Elizabeth Paraskeva have also been promoted in the firm’s government and infrastructure team, while Robert Young has joined the firm’s real estate team from Watson, Farley & Williams as a legal director.
