UK national law firm Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth has recruited a new associate to its tax, trusts and estates team.
Lucy Samy joins the private wealth division from Woking-based Mackrell Turner Garrett, where she was interim head of private client. Having qualified in 2009, she is experienced in handling all aspects of estate administration and probate, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and estate and tax planning advice.
She has also dealt with a number of Court of Protection matters, including dealing with capacity issues, statutory wills, ongoing management of affairs and contested Court of Protection applications.
Caroline Shelton, partner and head of the Gatwick tax, trusts and estates team at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth said: “I am delighted to have Lucy joining our team. She will play a vital role in supporting me to grow the team and, in particular, develop our business wealth offering in the Gatwick Diamond.
“Our private wealth offering has become extremely strong in the last 12 months, and so Lucy will work with our colleagues in other offices and private client teams to provide our clients with the best possible service.”
Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth's tax, trusts and estates team has seen growth in recent months with the hire of senior associate Andrea Jones in Leeds in February 2018. The wider private wealth team also saw two new partners, Jonathan Gist and Katie McCann, join in May 2018.
