UK national law firm Mills & Reeve has added new partner Sarah Cormack from Withers.
Ms Cormack, who will be based in the London office of Mills & Reeve, specialises in tax, trusts and estate planning for ultra-high net worth international individuals and their families.
She has particular experience in establishing and advising on the holding of assets in multiple jurisdictions, the establishment of private trust companies and tax and structuring for clients who are both resident and non-resident in the UK.
She also has a keen interest in advising international families and family offices on tax and governance issues and is also a regular speaker at conferences in the Channel Islands, the Caribbean as well as in the UK.
Chris Belcher, head of private client at Mills & Reeve, said: “We are very excited to have Sarah joining us. She brings a wealth of experience that fits perfectly with our growing international client base. We have seen a real trend in international families investing in and taking advice in the UK given the UKs reputation as a centre of excellence. Sarah’s appointment means that we are able to offer these clients advice on structuring their private affairs as well as the businesses in which they invest or the properties they are buying.”
Ms Cormack further commented: “I am delighted to be joining Mills & Reeve at such an exciting time in the firm’s development. The focus on expanding their international offering, combined with the specialist sector knowledge they offer to their clients gives me a great platform on which to help develop a strong international private client practice.”
