Mike McKerr is to take up a new role as chairperson of EY Ireland, following a nine-year tenure leading EY’s business across the island of Ireland. Frank O’Keeffe, currently head of the firm’s assurance business, will succeed Mr McKerr as managing partner on 1 July 2018.
Having joined EY as a graduate, Mr McKerr has spent his entire career at EY, working as a transaction advisory partner for 16 years before becoming managing partner of the Belfast office. He then took up the role as head of markets for EY Ireland and was then appointed as managing partner and a member of the UK and Ireland Leadership team.
Mr O’Keeffe has been head of assurance at EY Ireland and a member of the firm's Irish leadership team since 2014. In this role, he has overseen growth across the assurance practice. In addition, as lead audit and client service partner, Mr O'Keefe has served a range of large national and multinational clients across the manufacturing, retail, technology and supply chain sectors. He joined EY in 1997, and was appointed partner in 2006.
