A qualified Marine Biologist Adam is ACA qualified and has over eight years’ experience in Jersey and UK tax. He specialises in Jersey personal tax matters and manages KPMG’s Jersey private client portfolio. In addition to providing employment tax compliance services to local and international clients, Adam has facilitated various training sessions, provided Jersey and UK tax commentaries and assisted with the relocation and wealth restructuring of high net wealth individuals. In his spare time Adam likes to surf, play football and make his children play in the sea.
In his role Aleksander focuses on Guernsey and UK personal tax. He is responsible for a large compliance portfolio of private clients and trusts. This includes mobile executives, family and employment related trust and Non Resident Landlords. Aleksander’s tax consulting experience includes inheritance tax, relocation services and trust reviews and restructuring.
Alex has been at Deloitte since 2013 having joined the Big Four accountancy firm in Jersey having previously worked at Tindles LLP where his role included planning and implementation of assurance engagements, statutory accounts preparation and management accounts preparation. Alex was promoted by Deloitte in September 2016 and his responsibilities now include dealing with a wide range of advisory services for offshore entities.
A trust officer at Minerva in Jersey, Andrew has been with the fiduciary services provider since 2014. Prior to this Andrew was a trust administrator for four years from 2010 at Fairway Trust.

Ben joined VG in 2014 and is a senior trust officer with responsibility for the day to day administration for a portfolio of different clients across the private client team. A major part of Ben’s role is to always try to form a strong and honest relationship with his clients, and taking into account their structural needs and requirements. Bryan is a member of Babbé LLP’s litigation team having joined Babbé in September 2015. During this time has become a trusted adviser to some of the firm’s most important clients. Alex Picot Trust
Chris joined Alex Picot in 2006 and became a director of Alex Picot Trust in 2014 at the age of 30. He is one of three directors of the Jersey based, independently owned private client trust company. Chris has overall responsibility for the tax reporting throughout the company. To address the increased compliance requirements brought about by FATCA, CRS and recent changes to international tax rules, Chris initiated the development of a new tax consultancy service line at the firm. Clients describe Chris as having “considerable understanding for someone of his age” and is “an all-round excellent professional.”
A senior associate in Mourant Ozannes’ Guernsey international trusts and private client team, Chris’ practice covers advising trustees and beneficiaries on a wide range of trust-related matters, including Public Trustee v Cooper and variation of trust applications and international tax disclosures. Recently, he has been involved in a number of high-profile, cross-border tax and fraud investigations, including the first challenge in Guernsey to a notice issued pursuant to a tax information exchange agreement and the first unexplained wealth order issued by the High Court in England. Chris is jointly leading the Mourant Ozannes trust litigation thought leadership project and is also part of the global Mourant Ozannes fintech group. Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes, Chris spent over four years in the corporate/commercial practice area of AWS Legal in New Zealand, with a focus on large-scale transactional and joint venture work.
Chris is a senior associate in Ogier's growing Guernsey private client and trusts team. He is an experienced offshore lawyer who worked at City law firm Stephenson Harwood before making the move to Guernsey. Chris advises on all aspects of offshore trusts and foundations, including creation, administration, legal opinions and restructuring, to clients including individuals, fiduciaries and financial institutions. Most recently he has advised on the implications of the potential failure of a trust for want of beneficiaries caused by inadequate drafting and on the consequences of the commencement of the 1989 Guernsey Trust Law to a trust which thereby fell below the minimum number of required trustees.
Assistant Trust Manager
Chris is responsible for the administration of a number of Fairway Trust clients but his main focus is on servicing the entities which form part of Emirates NBD Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, which is a trust company managed by Fairway Fund Services Limited. The portfolio consists largely of residential and commercial real estate in London and his duties include liaising with relationship managers in London and Dubai, lawyers, tax advisers and property managers. His client base is made up of ultra high net worth families based in the GCC but he also builds relationships in other major finance centres, working closely with family advisers to ensure a bespoke service to each client. He was promoted to assistant trust manager in July 2017 with added responsibilities to support staff, manage billing and risk exposure and oversee the successful flow of new business.
Elliot’s practice focuses on high-value and complex litigation, often with an international dimension, and he has experience of a variety of foreign jurisdictions including Bermuda, The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Malaysia. Elliot has been involved as lead-associate in a number of high-value matters and his clients also include high net worth individuals. Elliot trained at a Magic Circle law firm before qualifying there as a tax associate, gaining significant experience and knowledge of contentions and non-contentious tax matters, including offshore structures and personal tax. He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2010 and subsequently to the Bar of England and Wales in 2013, after which he regularly appeared as an advocate in the County Courts, High Court and the Employment Tribunal, before returning to practice as a solicitor at another top-tier UK law firm. Elliot has also worked at a leading offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands on secondment, where he was admitted to the Cayman Bar for the purposes of acting for the Primeo Fund (in official liquidation) in its action against HSBC.
Greg is an associate in Collas Crill’s Guernsey trust and fiduciary team. Greg joined the law firm as a paralegal in September 2014 and started his training contract in September 2015. He qualified as a Solicitor of England & Wales in September 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Greg attended the University of Exeter where he completed a masters’ degree in Biology. Greg is a member of the Guernsey International Law Association (GILA) and the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA). A nominator said Greg had “proved himself to be a very competent lawyer with an approach to the role way beyond his experience.”

Joe has worked for Intertrust Guernsey since his graduation from Cardiff University in 2006. Starting out in the group’s legal services and company secretarial departments, he has worked in the trust & corporate services department since February 2010, progressing to assistant manager in March 2012 and manager in September 2014. During the past year Joe has become increasingly involved in business development, being one of 20 worldwide Intertrust employees chosen to attend the firm’s annual sales event in London attended by around 200 intermediaries. Kit Hobbs is the head of legal at Guernsey based Bellerive Stenham Trust Limited. Kit’s role includes providing legal support to these companies. The Bellerive client base is dispersed across the globe and Kit travels regularly to meet clients, advisers, intermediaries and colleagues. Kit has successfully launched and run the legal function at Bellerive Stenham in the 18 months since he joined the firm, overhauling procedure and practice to offer broad legal support stretching through all areas of its business and often working in conjunction with and instructing external advisers. Outside work, Kit is a keen traveller, keeping up his undergraduate language skills where he can and exploring new places alongside his wife. He also volunteers when possible with local charities and initiatives, including acting as a broadcaster with Jubilee Hospital Radio in Guernsey.
Based in Jersey, Luke is an associate and member of Mourant Ozannes' international trusts & private client team. He specialises in providing Jersey legal advice, particularly non-contentious trust advisory work, which is typically complex, has an international element and is high value. Luke also provides Jersey advice on all non-contentious issues concerning Jersey foundations, wills and probate. Massimo has worked for Hawksford since 2012, joining the client facing team as an assistant outside of term time whilst at college and he joined its trainee programme in 2013. Massimo has since developed into an experienced trust professional, providing reliable administration and services to a wide array of clients and structures, such as private trust companies and joint ventures across a number of jurisdictions including Jersey, Cayman, BVI, Panama and St Kitts Nevis. Massimo has worked on several high value transactions, most notably the wind up of a large property development business following the sale of a £125 million real estate portfolio. Matthew is a senior trusts lawyer in Ogier's Jersey private client and trusts team, having recently been promoted to senior associate. Matthew specialises in advising large corporate trustees and UHNW clients in all aspects of trust law, estate and succession planning, employee benefits and pensions. Matthew's work in the offshore private client sector has been greatly supported by his firm background as a private client practitioner in the UK where he assisted private wealth clients in all areas of private client law. Having moved to Jersey in January 2016, he has embraced the opportunity to develop his skills in an offshore setting.He has recently been focusing on developing Ogier's pensions practice and has recently been advising several large offshore pension scheme administrators.

Naro has ten years of experience in the private wealth sector. At Nerine, Naro has played a significant role in the firm’s success in the Middle East and has been responsible for coordinating marketing and business development for Nerine globally. Nicholas is a named partner of Jersey specialist family law firm Corbett Le Quesne. This he achieved at the age of 34 when he set up the firm with Advocate Barbara Corbett in November 2017. Nicholas is an experienced English solicitor, Jersey Advocate and qualified collaborative lawyer. Nicholas has also been influential in Corbett Le Quesne financially supporting Jersey’s Inspirational Woman of the Year, Ruth Smith, in her work to provide education for children in Kenya.
Oliver is an associate in Carey Olsen's dispute resolution team specialising in dispute resolution and litigation in addition to regulatory law. His experience includes civil and criminal litigation, arbitration, public and private international law, banking law, insolvency, intellectual property law, European Union law (including competition/antitrust and sanctions law), professional negligence, environmental law and Jersey constitutional and parochial law including States of Jersey procedures. Oliver joined Carey Olsen in 2014 having trained and qualified as a Solicitor of England & Wales with Clifford Chance. Previous work experience also included a secondment to the Clifford Chance Singapore office and two years at Dyne Solicitors Limited, an environmental law boutique. Oliver is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association.

Paul joined Intertrust in Guernsey as an administrator in 2007 following the completion of his Sport and Exercise Science degree. Paul became assistant manager in March 2013 and in 2015 was seconded to the Intertrust Singapore office. He was promoted to manager in March 2016 and is responsible for a team of seven individuals with a focus on trusts established for holding UK property. Additionally, Paul has voluntarily taken on a number of additional responsibilities including the role of key contact with the Singapore office, developing a good network of contacts from the region, which contributes to increasing the profile of both Guernsey and Intertrust in the Far East.

Peter joined R&H, Jersey in 2016 to lead R&H’s offshore in-house investment portfolio monitoring and manager research team, and to provide consultancy to the trustees and other fiduciaries on investment-related matters. Prior to joining R&H, he worked as an investment consultant for an offshore trust company. Following the completion of a degree in mathematics at the University of Oxford in 2008, Peter worked for a Jersey-based hedge fund as a quantitative research specialist, designing and building data analysis and portfolio construction systems.
An associate in Mourant Ozannes’ Jersey litigation practice, Pierre is a commercial litigator with a focus on cases involving trusts, fraud and investment disputes. He was called to the Bar by Gray's Inn before re-qualifying as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills in London, where he worked for several years. he also acted as a Judicial Assistant to the English High Court and English Court of Appeal.
Rhuaridh (Rury) Watt

A client relationship manager at fiduciary services provider First Names Group in Guernsey, Rury has been with the firm since July 2017. Prior to that, Rury worked at Bourse Trust Company for two years following on from a stint as a paralegal at Mourant Ozannes. Rury studied at the University of Stirling, graduating in 2012. He joined Ogier in June 2017 from Bedell Cristin – where he worked for almost seven years - and advises mainly professional trustees in relation to the creation, administration, and restructuring of all types of trusts and foundations. Recently Richard has been focusing on two key areas of practice namely advising in relation to private wealth structures for high net worth families in the Middle East (working closely alongside partner James Campbell) and advising on all aspects relating to trust based employee reward schemes.
Robert is an associate in the trusts & private wealth group at Carey Olsen in Guernsey. His experience includes providing tax and estate planning services for high net-worth clients, advice on trust structures and applications and contentious estate administration matters. Robert is a barrister and solicitor admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario) and he obtained his LLB and BCL degrees from McGill University at Montreal, and a BA from Simon Fraser University at Burnaby, Canada. Prior to moving to Guernsey and joining Carey Olsen in 2016, he practised in Toronto, Canada.
Senior Business Development Executive
Ryan is an experienced private client professional having worked across trust, investment, marketing and business development roles, building a broad range of skills in the structuring of private client wealth. Ryan began his career in 2012, joining Hawksford as a trainee. Impressing staff with his ability, work ethic and knowledge base, Ryan quickly climbed the corporate ladder to become a senior administrator after only three years. After four years in client facing, Ryan became Hawksford’s investment ‘gatekeeper’, co-founding the treasury and investment services team. Since then Ryan has transitioned into a senior business development role. In addition to his work in Jersey, Ryan has spent time in Asia, helping the business development team in Singapore with operational development, leading to the team increasing their monthly new business revenue.

Wayne has worked in the Guernsey private client sector for more than 15 years, and although he has been with Intertrust for less than a year, he has also worked for some of the largest trust companies in Guernsey including Credit Suisse, Rothschild and Standard Chartered. Wayne joined Intertrust as a manager in the trust and corporate services department and heads up a team of administrators overseeing a diverse portfolio of predominantly Cayman trusts and companies for HNWIs. He was responsible for remediating the book of Cayman business and his team administers both Cayman and Guernsey work.
Senior Tax Manager
Zaeem has extensive experience of working with HNWIs and offshore trustees, advising on UK and Jersey tax compliance and tax efficient structuring. He also works with a number of UK property developers and real estate companies based offshore, advising on the UK transactions in land regime and wider corporation tax impacts to real estate businesses. Zaeem has nearly a decade’s worth of experience in providing tax and advisory services in the UK and Channel Islands. He has been based in EY’s Jersey office since 2013, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2015. Over the past 12 months, Zaeem has been promoted to senior manager within the Channel Islands private client and trust team, having progressed from assistant manager through to senior manager in less than three years.
