Victoria Grogan, an international will and probate specialist with more than 10 years' experience in offshore practice, has joined offshore law firm Ogier as counsel and probate manager in Jersey.
Ms Grogan - who joined Ogier after over a decade at rival firm Carey Olsen - has particular expertise in the administration of high net worth and multi-jurisdictional local and foreign domiciled estates, as well as complex succession planning and will drafting.
Working closely with teams across Ogier's service lines, Ms Grogan will play a key role in delivering an integrated wills and probate service to complement other client offerings, alongside providing clients with discrete will and probate services.
Jonathan Hughes, Ogier's global senior service line head as well as head of Ogier's local legal services, said: "Victoria is highly respected in the industry for her expertise and dynamism, and we look forward to her applying her skills at Ogier as she plays a pivotal role in ensuring our probate services join up with our offerings across our service lines.
“Her arrival also presents a strategic expansion of our probate capacity, ensuring we are best placed to deliver specialist advice and legal services in the face of increasingly complex wealth and estate planning."
Ogier provides advice on the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg law through its network of offices that also includes Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.
