A solicitor at South-East England law firm Cripps has been recognised by an independent organisation for his expertise advising and supporting older and vulnerable people.

Managing associate Stephen Horscroft has been accepted as a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) after successfully passing both the Older Client Care in Practice (OCCP) and the Older Client Law in Practice (OCLP) awards.

A national organisation of lawyers, SFE members provide legal advice specifically aimed at older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. It aims to be the first port of call for people looking for legal advice in the older client market with members providing guidance in a number of areas including Powers of Attorney, trusts, probate, tax planning and estate planning.

Mr Horscroft is one of only a handful of solicitors to hold this accreditation in West Kent, reflecting his vast experience in dealing with a wide range of issues affecting older clients.

“I have been specialising in legal services for the elderly for a number of years and am delighted to be a fully accredited member of SFE," Mr Horscroft said. "I find it hugely rewarding working with our elderly clients and giving them peace of mind knowing that their affairs are in order.”

Cripps has offices in Tunbridge Wells, London and Kings Hill.
