Insurer Chubb has appointed Janet Edey as head of management liability for the UK and Ireland, effective immediately.
In this role, Ms Edey will have responsibility for leading and overseeing the development and execution of Chubb's management liability strategy which includes areas such as directors' and officers' liability, pension trustee liability, employment practices liability, crime, initial public offering liability and kidnap and ransom.
With 30 years of industry and underwriting experience, Ms Edey was previously head of professional lines at Amtrust where she was responsible for the strategic direction of two syndicates. Prior to that she was head of specialty at Pen Underwriting where she developed and grew the financial lines and specialty division within the MGA.
Ms Edey will report to Hilda Toh, financial lines manager, UK & Ireland, Chubb.
With operations in 54 countries and territories, Chubb provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance to a diverse group of clients.
